Streamlined packaging requirements for self-employed customers

ONLY FOR USE BY MORTGAGE INTERMEDIARIES

We’re pleased to let you know we’ve simplified our packaging requirements for self-employed mortgage applications, designed to make the application process easier for both you and your customers

What’s changing?

  • We will no longer request business bank statements or SA100s as part of the initial packaging, to speed up the process for you. This includes rental income.
  • Bank statements will only be requested if our scoring indicates they are needed for personal accounts.
  • For limited companies, just one year’s worth of accounts will be required, as this provides two years’ trading information.

What does this mean for you?

  • A smoother, simpler application journey for your self-employed customers.
  • Faster and more efficient processing, making it easier for you to assist your self-employed customers in achieving their property ambitions.
  • It’s important that the documentation you provide is not to be dated more than 18 months before the date of application.
